Earthsap

I believe in keeping our bodies away from harmful chemicals and additives, as much as possible, to prevent damage to our bodies’ natural systems. I was so happy therefore, when I found a shampoo and conditioner in South Africa that is based on pure simple natural ingredients. The shampoo literally makes my hair feel squeaky clean and the conditioner makes it feel like silk (no exaggeration!). They both leave our hair (I use it on my children’s hair as well) smelling wonderful!

Both the shampoo and conditioner have:

  • No synthetic fragrances, sodium laureate or laurel sulphate (according to the article: Dangers of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate on the Livestrong.com website, https://www.livestrong.com/article/174367-dangers-of-sodium-lauryl-sulfate/ , SLS (sodium laurel sulphate) is a “moderate hazard” that has been linked to cancer, neurotoxicity, organ toxicity, skin irritation and endocrine disruption)
  • No animal ingredients (very important!) and not tested on animals (double important!)
  • No synthetic dyes or preservatives
  • No petrochemicals

The ingredients in the shampoo are:

  1. Purified water
  2. Decyl and Karyn glycoside (from coconuts)
  3. Soy protein
  4. Coco betaine (also from coconuts)
  5. Wheat protein
  6. Vegetable glycerine
  7. Olive oil
  8. Pomegranate and lemon
  9. Oils
  10. Citric acid
  11. Ascorbic acid

And in the conditioner:

  1. Purified water
  2. Cetearyl alcohol (from coconuts)
  3. Wheat protein
  4. Vegetable glycerine
  5. Vitamin E
  6. Calendula oil
  7. Pomegranate oil
  8. Soy protein
  9. Panthenol (vitamin B5)
  10. Decal glucoside

The coconut oils in the products cleanse the hair; the pomegranate essential oils and soy protein moisturize the hair; and it all leaves no toxic residues on the scalp.

Earthsap is a South African company, and you can buy their products online at https://www.faithful-to-nature.co.za/earthsap

As at November 2017, the price for each was R57.80, which is not bad considering that they are pure and last a long time, as one uses such a little per wash.

I would highly recommend these two products for your whole family.

Just a reminder that I do not get paid to post these positive reviews. They are my own opinion and I want others to know which products are worth spending valuable hard earned money on.
