Tissue Salts for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Updated: March 2025 (Originally published: November 3, 2017)

If you have read my posts on Ultimag Magnesium and Powerball, you’ll know that I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my right wrist and hand more than three years ago. My doctor recommended surgery as the only solution, but I prefer to explore natural remedies before considering drastic measures. Through trial and error, I found that a combination of a magnesium supplement (with calcium), the Powerball, and tissue salts provided significant relief.

What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a condition that causes numbness, a clumsy feeling, or severe pain in the fingers, hand, and arm. It is especially common during pregnancy and postpartum. The condition occurs due to swelling in the small bony canal of the wrist, which puts pressure on nerves and blood vessels. If left untreated, CTS can lead to loss of strength and coordination, making everyday tasks difficult and even posing a safety risk for mothers caring for newborns.

Many moms believe they have to grin and bear the pain, but as Sister Lilian explains, there are natural ways to manage and heal Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. One such remedy is tissue salts.

Using Tissue Salts for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Sister Lilian recommends the following tissue salts to relieve CTS symptoms:

  • Nat Mur & Nat Sulph – Helps reduce swelling in the wrist area (Take 3 times per day).
  • Ferrum Phos – Relieves burning pain along the nerve pathway.
  • Kali Phos – Supports nerve regeneration and helps heal chronic nerve injury.
  • Ruma Plus (Homeopathic Ointment) – Apply over the affected area to reduce inflammation, pain, and swelling.

What Are Tissue Salts?

Tissue salts, also known as “cell salts” or “biochemistry salts,” are minerals naturally present in the human body. A deficiency in these essential minerals can contribute to various health issues.

According to Health24:

“Tissue salts are the same minerals found in rocks and soil. They naturally occur in the human body, and an imbalance or deficiency can lead to illness and disease.”

The Natura website provides further insight into tissue salts:

  • They were first identified by 19th-century German physician Dr. Wilhelm Schüssler.
  • The special grinding process called trituration makes them highly absorbable, even in minute doses.
  • Tissue salts are extremely safe and suitable for pregnant women, infants, and the elderly.
  • They help the body make better use of nutrients from food, promoting overall wellness.

My Experience with Tissue Salts

I used tissue salts successfully for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and many other conditions, including:

  • Colds and flu
  • Premenstrual symptoms
  • Wound healing
  • General health maintenance

My children have taken them since they were very young, and whenever there was an illness going around, we increased our intake of the general combination tissue salt. As a result, we rarely got sick.

I continued using tissue salts until we moved to the UK in 2024. Unfortunately, they are too expensive here, so I have stopped buying them. However, during the years I used them, I experienced incredible benefits and highly recommend them for those looking for a natural way to support healing and wellness.

Final Thoughts

If you are struggling with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome or other health concerns, tissue salts may be a safe, natural, and effective option. They worked for me for years, and I encourage others to explore their potential benefits.
