Tissue Salts for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

If you have read my posts on Ultimag Magnesium and Powerball, you will know that I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in my right wrist / hand more than three years ago, and I was told by the doctor that I will need surgery to sort it out. I prefer to deal with issues as naturally as possible first before turning to drastic measures such as surgery, and so I tried many different ways to heal my Carpal Tunnel. A magnesium supplement (with calcium), and the Powerball helped incredibly well, but tissue salts also worked.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a numbness, clumsy feeling or severe pain in the fingers, hand and/or arm, that is quite common in pregnancy and after giving birth.

There is a small bony canal in the wrist, through which nerves and blood vessels pass to and from the hand. Even minor swelling in this area can cause pressure on these nerves and blood vessels. It does not resolve on its own and if a mother loses strength and skill with the affected hand, this can prove very dangerous as she may not be able to handle her baby properly and even drop her child.

So many moms think that they simply have to grin and bear the pain in their wrist and hand, but as Sister Lilian,  (you can read about Sister Lilian here http://www.sisterlilian.co.za/about-sister-lilian) says, there are many different ways to heal Carpal Tunnel and these are her suggestions for using tissue salts:

  • Nat mur and Nat sulph 3 times per day to help reduce swelling in the area
  • Apply homeopathic ointment Ruma Plus over the wrist and affected area to reduce inflammation, pain and swelling
  • Tissue salt Ferrum phos will help for burning pain along the nerve pathway
  • Tissue salt Kali phos helps regenerate nerve tissue and heal nerve injury in chronic Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

As it says in Health24 (http://www.health24.com/Natural/Therapies/Tissue-salts-20120721):

Tissue salts, also known as “cell salts” or “biochemistrysalts“, are the same minerals that are found in rocks and in soil. What’s interesting is that they already occur naturally in the human body, which means that an imbalance or lack of certain ones opens the door for illness and disease.

On the Natura website (http://www.natura.co.za/B_PSaltS_Home.asp) they give a very good overview of tissue salts:

Tissues salts were originally identified by the 19th century German physician, Dr. Wilhelm Schüssler, who prepared them according to a special grinding process known as trituration. Trituration makes these minerals easy for the body to absorb so they are effective even in minute doses. One of the major benefits of tissue salts is that they are very safe and can be used by anyone, including pregnant women, infants and the elderly.

Tissue salts can help you to restore wellness from the inside out as they enable your cells to make better use of the nutrients available from the food you eat.

As a family we have noticed how tissue salts have restored our health and how incredibly well they work.

I have taken tissue salts for:

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome,
  • colds and flu,
  • premenstrual symptoms,
  • healing of wounds ,
  • and for many other issues.

My children have taken them from a very young age and we always make sure that when others around us are getting ill that we up our intake of the general combination tissue salt, and we then very seldom get sick. I strongly believe in tissue salts and highly recommend them.
