Our Home Education Journey
🌟 Welcome!
When I had my first amazing baby boy at the (surprisingly energetic!) age of thirty-three, I couldn’t imagine being apart from him. Long before he could even walk, I’d already decided he wouldn’t be going to pre-school—and I wouldn’t be working outside the home. I just couldn’t bear the idea of missing those precious early milestones or handing over his care to someone else. Besides, my own school years weren’t exactly joyful, and I’ve never agreed with how the system works for many reasons… but that’s a story for another day.
So, I did some digging. “What if I just… didn’t send him to school?”
Enter: home education.
What a discovery! I was thrilled. I read everything I could, soaked up knowledge like a sponge, and jumped in headfirst.
Teaching him at home felt so natural. Then we discovered he had a sensory processing disorder (SPD)—and suddenly, the flexibility of home educating became even more valuable. Being with him every day helped me understand him deeply, and together we learned how to navigate the challenges.
As our family grew, our home education journey evolved. I taught our second and third children with the same heart-led approach, constantly adapting methods to suit them (and our budget). We’ve never had much financially, but I’ve learned how to teach effectively using free or cheap resources. By the time our fourth child arrived, I had a clear sense of what worked best for our family.
We’ve now been home educating across four children, three countries, and nearly two decades of life. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been deeply rewarding.

Over the years, many people have asked:
How do you manage teaching four children?
What methods do you use without a formal curriculum?
How do you home educate on such a tight budget?
This section of the website—and the eBooks I’m working on—are my way of answering those questions and sharing what’s worked (and what hasn’t!) for us. If you’re starting out, overwhelmed, curious, or simply need encouragement… you’re in the right place.
We hope what we share here helps you find your own rhythm and joy in this magical way of life. Because home educating isn’t just about lessons—it’s a lifestyle. One filled with freedom, family bonding, character building, and learning to see the world through your children’s eyes. And that? That’s the real adventure.

💬 From Our Family to Yours
Home education isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being present. It’s about having the courage to say, “I think there’s a better way,” and building a life that fits your family’s needs—not squeezing your family into someone else’s mould.
If you’re tired, unsure, or overwhelmed—you’re not alone.
We’ve been there. We still have “those” days.
But this life? It’s worth it. Truly.
Let’s walk this road together. ❤️
Welcome to our home education family.
